Terms and Conditions of Tubbs Delight


Arrival & Departure: In order to prepare between hirers, we ask that you arrive after 3.30pm and leave by 10.00am on your departure date.

Payment: A deposit of 25% of the cost is required at the time of booking. The balance is due 6 weeks before the holiday date.

Cancellations: If you have to cancel please inform us immediately and we will endeavour to re-let the cottage and return your payment, minus a £25 administration fee. If this is not possible, all monies which have been paid will be forfeited. Therefore, a CANCELLATION PROTECTION & HOLIDAY INSURANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Numbers: The number of persons and pets occupying the bungalow must not exceed that stated on the Booking Form, unless agreed previously with the owners.

Pets: Well behaved, fully house-trained dogs are most welcome but we ask that they not be allowed on the furniture without throws or on beds and must not be left unattended in the bungalow at any time. Please clean up after your dogs, particularly if they are moulting and if they foul in the garden. Every effort has been made to ensure the garden is secure, however, we can not be held responsible if your dog(s) escape. Please ensure dogs are on leads when walking to and from your car. Please ensure that your dog/s are up to date on their flea and worming treatments to protect them and future guests.

Loss or Damage: The Owners cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to Hirers' property, or for personal injury, or damage to cars, bikes etc. Parking is at the Hirers' risk.

Cleanliness: The Owners endeavour to maintain high standards of comfort and cleanliness at all times and have a limited time to clean the accommodation in preparation for the next guests. Therefore the Hirer must undertake to keep all furniture, fittings and effects in the same good condition as they were found. This includes leaving the oven/fridge/dishes/cutlery clean. In particular, if your dogs are prone to moulting please make every effort to clear this before vacating the property - a hoover, brush, mop etc are provided. We regret that if the accommodation is found in a particularly poor state The Owners reserve the right to charge extra for any additional emergency cleaning required and refuse future bookings.

Accidents & Breakages: The Owners realise accidents and breakages happen and ask to be informed of such in order to be able to repair or replace in time for the next booking. The Owners reserve the right to charge for any non-trivial damage howsoever caused.

Damages, breakages & care of the property: If on arrival at the accommodation you discover that anything is missing or damaged then this must be reported to cleaners/owner immediately otherwise it will be presumed that the damage/loss was caused by the visitor and a charge will be made. A £100 refundable security deposit is required for every booking and will be refunded back to you via cheque or bank transfer within 10 days of departure if our terms and conditions are met. The cheque will not be cashed and will be destroyed at the end of the holiday, but will be kept if the cottage is not left in the clean and tidy condition in which it was found, or to cover the cost of any damage to the property or contents. We will email you once we have made the refund. Guests are required to take good care of the property and its contents and leave the bungalow clean and tidy on the day of departure. All or part of the security deposit will be forfeited if during the hire period there are any breakages or damage caused to the holiday accommodation (including garden and grounds), furniture, equipment, or utensils within the bounds of the holiday accommodation or if after the guest(s) have vacated the holiday accommodation the property requires additional cleaning beyond what would be reasonably expected. Guests would be required to reimburse Tubbs Delight if the total amount of damage and/or extra cleaning charges exceeds the amount of the damage deposit held.

Please let us know about any breakages or damage so that we can arrange to replace/repair the item(s) in time for the arrival of the next guests - we don't always charge for minor breakages if reported to us before departure.

Keys: The keys to the property will be your responsibility during your stay and any costs incurred through loss, damage, loss of access to the property as a result of lost keys or keys not being returned to their original collection point, will be charged to you in full.

Environmental Systems: Tubbs Delight has a heat recovery system will continually blows air around the building. The controls are in the garage. If for any reason the system is noisy please contact me immediately. There is solar hot water and the gas boiler should not be necessary for hot water.

Smoking: is NOT permitted inside the property, please do not forfeit your deposit. If you smoke outside, please dispose of your cigarette ends in the bin.

Parking: If you have more than 1 car, please park the second car in the layby down from Tubbs Delight, or on the road outside Tubbs Delight. Please DO NOT park on the pavement, there are children and partially sighted people who walk into the village.

EV Charger: Use of the Charging point is at the owner of the car's risk and we do not accept any liability for loss or damage sustained by you or your EV as a result of using the Charging point unless the damage was caused directly by our negligence. Authorisation for the use of a Charging point during your stay must be notified to us and given prior to arrival. We reserve the right to withdraw this authority at any time and for any reason. You shall be responsible to us for any damage to the Charging Point or loss suffered by us caused by your use of the Charging Point. If a call out is required by the service engineer it is charged at a minimum of £85 + vat per call out per hour and this cost plus materials will be taken from the breakages deposit if any damage is sustained by you, any member of the booking party or your cars during your stay. Charging the car is done via an email with a QR code that the guest can scan that allows them use the full 7.4kW charger. The rate is set on the Go Zero Charge app.
